Basic training course
The essential information summarised in a comprehensible way
Your entry into the world of ultrashort pulse laser processing
You want to use the advantages of the ultrashort pulse laser tool for yourself and would like to get a first overview? Then our basic training is the ideal introduction. We provide you with the necessary knowledge to be able to competently evaluate external information. The training is designed interactively so that there is enough time for questions and discussions.
BASIC TRAINING COURSE
In the LightPulse
LASER PRECISION basic training course, you will learn the essential information about material processing with ultrashort pulse lasers in a one-day event. An overview of the most important terms and their meaning is given, the mode of operation of ultrashort laser pulses in interaction with a material is discussed, safety-relevant aspects are addressed and the possible processes are presented. This will give you a basic insight into the topic and enable you to have your say!
Agenda:
In the first part, we deal with basic concepts of laser radiation and especially ultrashort pulse lasers. How exactly is the pulse duration defined and how is it measured? What influence does the wavelength have on the focusability of laser radiation? We will get to the bottom of these questions and more.
Second part: Basics of material processing with ultrashort pulse lasers
The second part focuses on the interaction of laser radiation and material. How does light ablate matter and which factors influence the processing quality? The processes possible with ultrashort pulse lasers are briefly introduced. This part lays the foundations for discussing your application in detail in the fourth part.
Third part: Safety-relevant aspects (laser protection and radiation protection)
For a successful implementation of an ultrashort pulse laser process, not only process-related details must be considered. Practical implementation always includes safety-relevant aspects. Due to the high intensities of ultrashort pulsed lasers, laser protection must be guaranteed to avoid damage, especially to the eyes. Furthermore, X-rays can be generated during processing, from which the operator must be protected. In Germany, the legislator also places special requirements on operators of ultrashort pulse laser systems.
Fourth part: Application-specific part (one of those mentioned below)
- Micro drilling
- Surface machining
- Fine cutting
- Surface functionalisation
- Marking
Package price basic training:
500€ per participant (max. 10 participants)
